Hello, I am Jesica Herrera and I currently teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Mathematics. I was born in Guanajuato, Mexico but have lived in San Augustine since I was 7 years old. Therefore, I consider San Augustine my hometown. I graduated from San Augustine High School in 2008 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2012 specializing in 4-8 Math. This is my fifth year teaching middle school math and I am as passionate about it now as I was on day one. As a teacher, I am a lifelong learner; therefore, I am currently a graduate student at Stephen F. Austin State University to earn a Master’s Degree in School Mathematics Teaching. Outside of teaching and being a student, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son as well as Zumba. I am excited to once again be a part of the Wolf Pack and am looking forward to a great school year!
