Elementary School:
The Pre-K Student of the Month for February is K’Lynn Mosby. K’Lynn brightens up the room. She is very smart, she knows all of her alphabet and her numbers and she can count to 100. She is blending letters to sound out words and is on her way to reading. K’Lynn is a friend to everyone and likes to help out others when they need it. K’Lynn is the daughter of LeBrent and Shatara Mosby, and she is in Lisa Crouch and Katie Whitton’s class.
The Kindergarten Student of the Month for February is Travis (Kit) Hanks. Kit is kind to others and always lends a helping hand. He is a great example for the other students. His favorite color is red, and his favorite thing to do at school is Istation. When he grows up he would like to be a lawyer. Kit is the son of Travis and Haley Hanks and he is in Lisa Ainsworth’s class.
The 1st grade Student of the Month for February is Everett Bridges. Everett is very kind to his classmates, he is willing to work one on one with them if they do not understand something, and always speaks kind words to them. He loves knock-knock jokes and enjoys telling them to Mrs. Williams. Everett has a million-dollar smile that lights up our classroom. Everett was chosen as Student of the Month because of the kindness he shows every day. Everett is the son of Shane and Elise Bridges and he is in Janna Williams’ class.
The 2nd grade Student of the Month for February is Jacob Hennington. Jacob is a very well-behaved young man. He is a hard worker and is very kind to his classmates. Jacob is the son of Shereatha and JeQuarrian Hennington and he is in Carol Alford’s class.
The 3rd grade Student of the Month for February is Alexis Bratchett. Kindness was the theme this month and Alexis was selected for this honor. Alexis looks forward to coming to school to see her friends and teachers’ smiling faces. She loves Math, and she said that her Number 1 goal is to be a Doctor. This is very important to her, she stressed it very clear. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with her brothers. Alexis is the daughter of LaKesha Bratchett and Alex Polley and she is in Susan McDaniel’s homeroom.
The 4th grade Student of the Month for February is Sophie Yanez. Sophie is a kind person but does not enjoy school at all… she does try hard to make good grades. She enjoys her time with Coach Boyette and Coach Renfro in P.E. Sophie hasn’t given it much thought to what she wants to become as she grows older. In her spare time, she likes playing games on her phone. Sophie is the daughter of Jackie Carmona and Juan Antonio Yanez and she is in Terra White’s homeroom.
The 5th grade Student of the Month for February is Nevaeh Bluford. Nevaeh is well-mannered and never gets into trouble. She is a hard worker and a kind-hearted person. Nevaeh is the daughter of Chasity Maxie and she is in Linda Skadowski’s homeroom.

Middle School:
The 6th grade Student of the Month for February is Angel “Danny” Mendoza-Moreno. Angel is more known as Danny with his peers and teachers. Danny enjoys playing video games, watching YouTube, and playing soccer in his spare time. Danny’s favorite class is math with Mrs. Barnes because he loves math. When he graduates, he would like to go to college to play soccer and plans to get a degree in the technology department. Danny is the son of Jaime and Maria Mendoza.
The 7th grade Student of the Month for February is Kelvin Rivera. Kelvin’s favorite subject is math. He is currently in athletics and his favorite sport to play is football. Kelvin’s favorite class is Mrs. Beall’s English and tech apps because Mrs. Beall is always so nice to everyone. After graduating, Kelvin would like to go to college and get a degree in engineering. Kelvin is the son of Yajayra and Agenor Rivera.
The 8th grade Student of the Month for February is Ruby Rubio. Ruby enjoys reading, listening to music, and drawing. Her favorite subjects are math, reading, and health. Rubio enjoys English with Mrs. Fussell because she teaches very thoroughly and always rewards the students for their work. Ruby is still uncertain about what she would like to pursue after graduating. She says, “after all there are many interesting careers out there that I could try!” Ruby is the daughter of Juan and Sofia Rodriguez.

High School:
The 9th grade Student of the Month for February is DeMarion Teagle. DeMarion is one of the most respectful students on our campus and continuously strives to better himself in all areas. He is heavily involved in athletics, participating in football, basketball, and track. Despite his strenuous extracurricular schedule, Teagle has worked hard to raise his grades in all classes. Outside of school, DeMarion enjoys riding dirt bikes, working on cars, and playing video games. After High School, he hopes to be given the opportunity to play college basketball. If that doesn't work out, he would like to either attend Texas Tech University or become a diesel mechanic. DeMarion is the son of ID Teagle.
The 10th grade Student of the Month for February is Olivia Lara. Olivia enjoys going shopping with her mom and having girl days when she has the time. Her favorite subject is English, which is one reason why she loves Mr. Porter’s class. She also says that Mr. Porter pushed her to be a better person and student. Olivia is currently a part of FFA. After graduating from high school, she plans to attend Texas A&M and become an ultrasound technician. Olivia is the daughter of Mauricio and Cayla Lara.
The 11th grade Student of the Month for February is Kurt Perry. Kurt enjoys playing sports and video games in his free time. He is currently involved in football, basketball, and baseball. Kurt’s favorite class is math with his father, Jason Perry, as the teacher. He says Mr. Perry is always there to help him with any question he has. After graduating Kurt wants to go to college to play football. Kurt is the son of Jason and Jennifer Perry.
The 12th grade Student of the Month for February is Cedazia Holman. Cedazia loves braiding hair, working out and her newest hobby is learning to cook. Cedazia is currently involved in cheerleading, powerlifting, national honor society, interact club, and student council. Her favorite classes are forensics science and her business/office aide class. She loves Ms. McNamara’s forensics class because Ms. Mac pushes her in everything that she does, not just her class. Cedazia plans to attend Texas Woman’s University to become a physical therapist. Cedazia is the daughter of Cedric and Sonya Holman.
