The PreK Student of the Month for April is Ashley Olalde Velasquez. Ashley is the daughter of Fermin Olalde and Elizabeth Velasquez. She is a very hard worker, she always listens, and knows all her letters and sounds. Her favorite subject is Reading. When she grows up she wants to be a fashion model! Ashley is in Mrs. Sylvia Nielson and Mrs. Jackie White's homeroom.
The Kindergarten Student of the Month for April is Eduardo Salazar Lopez. His teacher, Mrs. Amanda Chambers, says that she chose Eduardo because he always listens and does his work, and when he does not quite understand something, he perserveres and tries his best. She looks forward to seeing more success from him in the years to come! Eduardo is the son of Eduardo Lopez Sr. and Elvia Salazar.
The 1st grade Student of the Month for April is Jaylan Jackson. Jaylan was chosen by his peers and Mrs. Cartwright for his perserverance. He is a hard worker and always eager to please. He gives 100% toward his school work and tries to do his very best. Jaylan loves to read, and his favorite subject is math. He enjoys watching and playing sports, his favorites are basketball and football. Jaylan is the son of Teronica Jackson and the step son of L.C. Malone.
The 2nd grade Student of the Month for April is Aprilyn Johnson. Aprilyn is the daughter of April and Lyndall Johnson. Her favorite subject in school is reading, her favorite book is Arthur, and in her spare time she enjoys playing with her cousins, and playing with her dog Bopper. She enjoys going on vacation with her family, and her favorite place to go is Houston. When she grows up she wants to be a Doctor. Aprilyn is in Mrs. Paula Whiteman home room.
The 3rd grade Student of the Month for April is Harley Hinton. Harley is the daughter of Leslie McDaniel Hinton and Jason Hinton, and the big sister to Laken. Her favorite thing about school is that she gets to learn new things and have new experiences. Harley enjoys reading books and her favorite is,”Bad Kitty”. When she grows up, she wants to be a police officer.
The 4th grade Student of the Month for April is DeMarion Teagle. DeMarion is the 10 year old son of Mr. ID Teagle. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Reading. He is a hard worker, and when he grows up he wants to be a Professional Football Player.
The 5th grade Student of the Month for April is Brittany Galloway. Brittany is the daughter of Kenny and Lisa Galloway. Her homeroom teacher, Mrs. Ashley Burks, says Brittany is a very sweet young lady, who works hard, and always stays out of trouble. She is a model student. Her favorite subject is Science, and in her spare time she enjoys playing games. When she grows up, she is not quite sure what she wants to be, but I know whatever it is, she will be great at it!

MIDDLE SCHOOL:
The 6th grade Student of the Month for April is Casey Nance, Jr.. Casey is the son of Kelly and Casey Nance. His favorite subject is tech apps. He enjoys playing baseball and spending time with his family and friends. Casey plans to be a game designer when he finishes high school.
The 7th grade Student of the Month for April is Mauricio Landaverde, Jr.. Mauricio is the son of Marilu Torres and Mauricio Landaverde. His favorite subject is science. He is involved in athletics. Mauricio wants to be a game designer when he graduates from high school.
The 8th grade Student of the Month for April is Reco Burrell. Reco is the son of Jowanna Burrell. His favorite subject is science. He is involved in atheltics and also the Boys and Girls Club. Reco plans to get a scholarship and attend a four year college to become an engineer.

The 9th grade Student of the Month for April is Alexia Moreno. Alexia is the daughter of Julie and Gene Miller. Her favorite subject is English because she loves reading. She is involved in athletics, Ladies League, and is a cheerleader. Alexia plans to go to college to become a therapist. She hopes to go to college on a track scholarship at Texas A&M or a cheerleading scholarship at Stephen F. Austin.
The 10th grade Student of the Month for April Macy Bennefield. Macy is the daughter of Alice Bennefield. Her favorite subjects are art and computer. She is involved in cheerleading and is a member of Ace Superstars. She also competes in the special olympics. Macy wants to become famous after she finishes high school. She hopes to become a model, maybe do some acting or have a career in the fashion industry.
The 11th grade Student of the Month for April is Skylar Smith. Skylar is the daughter of Randa and Nay Smith. Her favorite subject is English. She is involved in FFA and is a member of the National Honor Society. Skylar plans to go to college and pursue a career in veterinary medicine or writing.
The 12th grade Student of the Month for April is Cer'Charvis Berry. Cer'Charvis is the son of Tunya and Willie Berry. His favorite subject is ag mechanics. He is involved in FFA and athletics. Cer'Charvis plans to attend the Electric Technolgy Program at Kilgore College and become an electric lineman.
