My name is Rod McLerran and I have been a member of the San Augustine community since 1983.  I started my 20 years at Roper Motor Company and then followed my calling ... to be a teacher.  My dad was a Coach and Principal at New Caney and my mother was the Senior AP English teacher - both in their careers for 30 years.

 

I teach Social Studies and am the AP Economics teacher.  I am the Student Council Advisor, the Honor Society Advisor and the Tennis coach.  I LOVE what I do and I LOVE our kids.  This is my 13th year at SAHS and I cannot imagine doing anything else.
